9 months!

Oh baby girl. I love you so much. You are 9 months old and even though I skipped 8 months there has been a few things happening.  At 8 months you can stand on your own and say dada. Now at 9 months you can stand yourself for a almost a minute. We started you in daycare which was so awful for mommy and daddy to leave you but you had fun. You are still enjoying swimming and you are finally getting the hang of going under water. Last week you even made a friend! You love sweet potato fries and cantaloupe. You are still a mommas girl and I love every bit of it, even when it's exhausting. You are 20.5 lbs and 28.5 inches tall.

7 months

Little girl you are 7 months old! Well almost 8 but still. You learned to crawl and have had peas, green beans, and zucchini. Your favorite is cereal and zucchini. You haven't said anything other than mama. You love talking to grandma on FaceTime and it's even better when she is here visiting. You love going outside and watching the birds.
You also love swimming and painted your first picture.
Father's Day was this month and although daddy was out of town we still made him a picture using your hands and feet. Each month I love seeing learn and grow each month. I love you so much!

6 months!

Oh goodness baby girl you continue to grow so quickly. At our dr appointment you weighed 18.8 lbs and you were 27 inches long 95% all around.

You are sitting up on your own and you said mama. We get to start solids and he suggested starting with rice cereal and then greens.
You love love your bouncer and you are rolling around like a rolly polley. You can get up on all fours so I expect that you will be crawling soon. Does any one know how to make time stop?
You love after nap cuddles and you are still taking 3 naps a day 2 short mornings and a about an 1 1/2 to 2 hour nap in the afternoon.

You don't really dislike anything expect when momma walks away from you.

5 months

Oh my baby girl, you are 5 months now (even though it's the middle of the month). This month you continue to roll over, you can sit up somewhat unassisted, and you hit a huge milestone you said mama! I am so glad I was able to get it on video, and I will admit I have watched it about 1,000 times. I love you so much, you have been my rock this month since we had some hard times. Ryan went out of town and Sherlock and Fred both passed away. Sherlock was super rough since it was so unexpected and his health dwindled within days. I miss him so much but Addie made me smile all the time. Grandma also came to visit due to my surgery and you had lots of fun with her.

Things  you love:
  • Pretty sure you are starting to teeth, so you love Sofia the giraffe, and the mam teethers
  • You like to bounce in your jumper but you let us know when you are done.
  • You love love the puppies especially Luna but the feeling might not mutual

Things you don't really like:
  • Sitting in your carseat while we are eating, this causes some issues if we are out in public but we just take you out and you are fine.
  • Bath time is mainly a hit but it can be a miss too.

Letting go

I've been pretty lucky so far with not having Addie in daycare. Luckily, my work is super flexible and I can switch my hours or days off without any hassle, but now Ryan is going out of town. Since he will be out of town, I will have to Addie in daycare. Half of me is excited because she will have things to play with and interaction with other kids, but the other half is sad and nervous because a complete stranger is watching her. It's like handing my heart over to them and saying, here make sure I live. I know it will be best for her and honestly I don't really have an option for it not.

I talked with a friend and she loves daycare. She says her son is more independent and social, which is fantastic. Depending upon how this daycare works out, will determine if we put her in it once a week so we can have a family day together, which is something I have been missing.

How did you handle putting your little one in daycare?

4 month

Oh Addie, you are 4 months old. This was the first full month that you didn't have momma every day. This month you learned to roll over. The first time you rolled over was 3/23 on the couch and then you finally rolled over on your playmat later that night. It made me so happy and proud. Most roll from belly to back but you rolled from back to belly. The next day you rolled from belly to back and I got it on video. You are growing up way too quick. We have your 4 month doctor's appointment, which unfortunately means shots for you. I am very curious to see how much you have grown.

You love Ellie the elephant and when you wake up you usually roll to your belly which doesn't make you very happy. You have some really bad diaper rash going on right now too and hopefully it will clear up soon. You can pull yourself up to a standing position by holding on to mommas thumbs. You love to chew on your fingers and you still can burp and fart louder than anyone I know.

9 weeks and shots

This week we had our 2 month check up and endured shots. She measured at 24.5 inches and weighs 13.9lbs. She is in the 90% range in head circumference, height, and weight.  I was pretty proud of all of us and only Adalyn cried and she calmed down pretty quickly.

She ended up sleeping most of the day and that night we actually got a laugh out of her. Ryan was playing with her and Molly and she started laughing, we haven't heard it since but it was still pretty adorable.
This is the "I don't like shots" face
She also got to meet her Aunt Misty for the first time. Unfortunately she was cranky from the shots but we still had a good visit.
